"Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect; but I follow after"
(Philippians 3:12a)
We
can learn a principle from Paul the Apostle in the Bible text above.
Paul, then Saul, used most of his adolescent and youth period to fight
against the followers of Christ. He witnessed the martyrdom of Stephen
before his own miraculous conversion while he was yet on another
vengeance mission to Damascus. God has helped him to accomplish a lot
in his ministry yet he never gave room for complacency.
No matter what you have accomplished, you must never get to a point
where you become conceited. Always look out for more ground to conquer
and never remain stagnant. Thomas Edison once said," Show me a
thoroughly satisfied man, and I will show you a failure”. You can be
diligent enough to transform your good to better, and your better to
the best. Let your motto be "higher every day." As you climb up
the rungs of success, utilize each level of attainment as a stepping
stone to higher rungs of success. You’ve got to think big, have great
dreams and attempt great tasks that will move you up to the next level.
Challenge: Always look out for new grounds to exploit.
Prayer: Help me oh God, to go higher everyday
